Erin Jellel Collins Arsenault
June 18, 1979 - July 24, 2010

Erin has brought love and joy to her family and friends for 31 years demonstrating her strength and fortitude well past her anticipated life expectancy. She has touched the lives of so many, sharing her gifts and example of living life fully with unconditional love.
Erin was born in Boulder, CO graduating from New Vista HS in 2000. She was an active Girl Scout for 12 years and volunteered for many years at Terrace Heights nursing home, Children’s World, and Boulder Valley Public Schools. She worked in Public Relations for Colorado & Santa Fe Land Co and volunteered at Rocky Mountain Siamese Rescue.
She is survived and loved by many including her parents Marcel and Cynda Collins Arsenault and her brother John; her grandparents Marge & Brad Collins, Great Aunt Louise Vandevanter, Aunt Callie Carter, Aunt Simone and Uncle Graham Webb , Aunt Debbie and Uncle Bob Davidson, Uncle Chris and Aunt Ann Collins, Uncle Mario and Aunt Heather Everell; cousins Brandon Everell, Gavin, Comfort & Liam, Heather & Ian Webb, and scores of friends and loved ones.
There are no words to describe the hole she leaves in so many hearts, but with gratefulness for having known her. If you would like to do something on Erin's behalf, you can send tax deductible donations in honor of Erin to Family Link/Community Link, 6290 Lookout Rd, Boulder, CO 80301. Their mission is to actively support the inclusion of people with disabilities in their community. Erin was a great believer in this and proof of its value.
Erin's transition was a heartfelt experience for all her family and friends. With a home visitation, Erin's Celebration of Life was held a week later. The day after the Celebration, the Carousel of Happiness held a memorial in Erin's name, and the Carousel ran riderless and in silence in Erin's honor.
Erin's spirit continues to give us comfort and hope,
as she did when she was physically with us.

She's Off to Heaven. Poem written by Gianna DiGregorio
Doctors once said,
"She is handicapped.
Give her up. . ."
You laughed.
I had not your wisdom.
You waited
For years
Until my presence arrived
Driving out weakness.
Our tribe of god
Is all lost…
Desperate wise men
Fixed upon their compass
In strange lands.
All the while, hopeful
Mothers and daughters
Following their hearts
Lean forward.
Into the mist.
While you lived,
You revealed my heart
Then dying,
Broke it.
Yet I am richer.
With broken heart.
Lost in the mist.
